The UDAEF Concert Gala annually highlights the 80+ cultural diversities of the Upper Darby School District. This event sells out every year and showcases the incredible young musical talent of Upper Darby students and their outstanding music teachers. More than 800 students and music faculty of the Upper Darby School District present one of Pennsylvania’s largest and most successful fundraising concerts! (For more photos of this amazing event please ‘like’ our Facebook page “Upper Darby Arts and Education Foundation!”)

This event was the result of intense planning, hard work, and discipline culminating in a incredible performance to a sold out audience highlighting 72 countries of the diverse Upper Darby community. Our 20th Anniversary Gala Celebration raised $40,000 — all of which will be returned to Upper Darby classroom teachers via Foundation grants for enhanced classroom activities. The Gala is a major source for these funds. In the past 20 years, 1900 grants have brought more than $2 million to Upper Darby School District programs and activities for students.

The UDAEF Concert Gala  is one of the largest concerts to benefit public school education to take place in the state of Pennsylvania. Presenting more than 800 performers ranging from kindergarten students to music faculty members, the annual gala is the event of the year in the Upper Darby community and sells more than 1,200 tickets each year.

Highlights of the Gala include Elementary and Middle School Honors Choruses; an Elementary Honors Band and Middle School and District Honors Orchestras; Upper Darby High School’s Encore Singers, Wind Ensemble and Concert Choir and an all-star faculty jazz band. Outstanding student & alumni soloists add to the excitement and professionalism of this event!
