“Shakespeare Workshops & A Midsummer Night’s Dream” – Ms. Bierling, UDHS
Through a grant with the Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation and the work of UDHS English Department Chair Kelsey Bierling, the entire 9th grade, and select upper classmen, attended a professionally directed 80-minute production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed by members of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. After the performance, select students were able to eat lunch with the actors and director and participate in workshops covering “Stage Fighting” and “Acting to the Word.”
