Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. concludes UD Summer Stage’s 49th season, August 13-15
August 6, 2024 - Drexel Hill, PA. The 49th season of Upper Darby Summer Stage comes to a close with an exciting new adaptation of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, based on the beloved movie and book. Performances are August 13, 14, and 15 at 10:30 am. and August 14 and 15 at 7:00 pm. Shows occur at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center at 601 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill. Parking is free.
Returning to Summer Stage for the first time in 10 years, Alice finds herself in a strange land filled with a kooky Mad Hatter, a Queen of Hearts, an ever-tardy White Rabbit, and a Cheshire Cat! Her journey home is only possible once she realizes her power and remembers that she can be the hero of her own story.
Tickets are $11-$15 and can be purchased online at udsummerstage.org or by calling the box office at 610-814-7270. Young audience members and their families are invited to come early to the performances for fun pre-show activities and to stay after the show to meet cast members. Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. is ideal for ages three and up.
Show director Hannah Catanoso said, “This show focuses on the confusing and often, wacky journey of self-discovery.” She added, “I can’t think of a better age group to tell this story with than teenagers navigating their way through today’s world.”
