Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation Unveils Rebranding and Redesigned Websites
The Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation (UDAEF) is thrilled to announce a vibrant new chapter in its deep-rooted legacy with the unveiling of a reimagined brand identity and three redesigned websites. The centerpiece of this transformation is the new color splash logo, a departure from the Foundation’s traditional purple and yellow emblem. This bold visual update symbolizes the energy, creativity, and inclusivity that have defined UDAEF’s mission for decades.

This rebranding effort also includes the launch of updated websites for the Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation, Upper Darby Summer Stage, and the Schoener MusicMan Academy. These platforms have been meticulously redesigned to create a cohesive digital presence, ensuring ease of navigation and engagement for visitors, especially on mobile devices. Each website captures the essence of UDAEF’s commitment to empowering young people and fostering engagement in arts and education.
Lauren Stevenson Yacina, visual communications for UDAEF, crafted the new logo and photo collages for each website. She shared her insights on the creative process: “Over the years I’ve enjoyed creating collages for our deliverables such as brochures, social visuals, lobby graphics, and now our redesigned websites. It was a pleasure designing the updated UDAEF logo and incorporating the colors throughout the site.”
Kat Collins of Kat Collins Design, who spearheaded the redesign of the websites, reflected on the project’s inspiration: “I was honored and excited when UDAEF asked me to help redesign their three websites to reflect their new branding and ongoing mission and bring an overall cohesiveness to them. The inspiration behind the website design is the magic of possibility for young people in the arts using bold, fun colors, engaging layouts, and clear navigation.”
The redesigned websites and refreshed branding reflect UDAEF’s enduring dedication to making performing arts education accessible and inspiring for young people in the community.
Justin Heimbecker, UDAEF executive director, emphasized that “this rebranding and reimagined websites are part of a greater overall strategy to ensure that UDAEF is positioned for significant growth in 2025 and beyond.” According to Heimbecker, “Other recent projects behind-the-scenes include a new online donation platform (Classy) and an accompanying comprehensive Friends of Upper Darby Arts donor program, a new ticketing platform (Vivenu), a new enrollment platform (iClass Pro) for student registration, and other infrastructure upgrades.”

Heimbecker added, “Our dedicated staff has been hard at work this season, preparing for the Arts & Education Center to become a reality in the coming year; these initiatives will not only serve our organization and constituency now, but also allow us to handle greater capacity and provide exponentially more participants in the years ahead.”
